Pressol ProSeries Spray Bottle (Discoloration)
We’ve seen the feedback coming in on the new Pressol ProSeries Spray Bottles and wanted to provide a quick update on what we know so far and what we’re doing to address it.
The yellowing issue reported by some users was not something we observed during our internal testing prior to launch. As soon as we started receiving reports, we began conducting our own controlled tests to better understand the cause.
Our preliminary tests suggest that the discoloration may be related to high-pH chemicals like P&S Brake Buster, ShineSupply Wise Guy, and Angelwax Vision. The yellowing appears to be cosmetic only, so if the appearance of the bottle isn’t a concern to you, the sprayer can continue to be used as normal.
For now, we recommend avoiding using these types of products with the sprayer to avoid discoloring the bottle. We are actively working with Pressol to better understand what is causing this issue.
We’re also looking into a separate issue where, in some cases, the flexible suction tube may be deteriorating when used with adhesive removers like CARPRO TarX and Koch Chemie Eulex. Over time, the adhesive remover appears to weaken and swell the tube, causing the clamp to cut through the tube. We are also testing this internally. It is recommended that you avoid using adhesive removers with the Pressol ProSeries Sprayers until a solution is found.
Trust me, we are as frustrated as you. Know that we are working closely with Pressol to determine the root cause and the corrective action for each of these issues. Please bear with us until we have a better understanding. We’ll share more information as soon as we have it.
Thanks for your continued patience as we work through this. We won't stop working on this until it's as perfect as we all want it to be because, man, when they work, there’s nothing better. And don't they look good on the shelf?
